Recently  inaugurated in the halls of Balâtre, a fortified farm dating back to the XVIIth. century, Balastra is a new art gallery  mainly intended to  promote the work of local artists from Namur province – though Belgian and foreign talent will certainly not be excluded.

Working in close partnership with the Namur Fine Arts Academy, the staff responsible for this new art centre – the gallery is also meant to be  to be a showcase for writers and musicians- – intend, above all, to bring life to  a site of remarkable architectural value and provide art amateurs of the Namur region  with a new pole of  attraction.
